Zhongshan Park

Visit the biggest Sun Yat-sen statue and sculptures in the woods!


At Shenzhen Zhongshan Park, you can enjoy a moment of peace and comfort in the nature while appreciating art and sculptures at the same time.
Occupying a vast area of 490,000 square metres, the park is filled with greenery, gardens and lakes. There is a large lawn for kite-flying or picnics. Slow down to take some snapshots of the tranquil scenery and breathe in some fresh air for a refreshed mind and body!
Built in 1925, Zhongshan Park is the oldest park in Shenzhen with a history of nearly 100 years. The park is also full of sculptures and statues in different themes created by famous artists. You can take the opportunity to check out China’s largest sculpted stone head of Sun Yat-sen, bronze statues of ancient figures, group sculptures and relief walls carved with love story or family figures.
The amusement park is definitely another attraction there. It is filled with a variety of nostalgic motor rides such as roller coasters, bumper cars, pirate ship, ferris wheel, carousels, water bikes and many more. Each ride costs about RMB 5 to 15. What a good value for money! With so many fun activities in the park, it is easy for both adults and kids to get some good rest and kill a day!

Getting there:
  1. From downtown area: Take Shenzhen Metro Line 12. Get off at Zhongshan Park Station and walk about 6 minutes from Exit C.
  2. From East Rail Line Lo Wu Station: Get to Shenzhen Metro Luohu Station on foot. Take Line 1 and then transfer to Line 12 at Taoyuan Station.
  3. From East Rail Line Lok Ma Chau Station: Get to Shenzhen Metro Futian Checkpoint Station on foot and take Line 10. Transfer to Line 11 at Gangxia North Station and then transfer to Line 12 at Nanshan Station.
